Here's a really simple trick. So there are 13 diamonds in the deck, let's say two are in your hand, and the flop comes down and there are two diamonds on the board. So now there are 9 diamonds left. So you have 9 outs on the flop. The odds one of the 9 diamonds comes on the turn is 92=18%. The odds it comes on the turn or river is 94=36%. This is a technique called Monte Carlo simulation.
